

The North Michigan Campground is located on the north and south sides of North Michigan Reservoir at an elevation of 8,980 feet. The North Side contains 13 campsites and six cabins. These sites offer little or no shade. Most of the sites will accommodate small to medium sized RVs. Sites 211, 212, 213 are for tents only. There are four restrooms and two water hydrants in the North Side section of the campground. Campsite 207 is accessible to persons with disabilities. There are two boat ramps for launching boats. Boating on the reservoir is restricted to wakeless speeds only. No swimming is permitted.
The South Side section is strung out along the south shore of the reservoir. There are 35 campsites in this section. Five of those are pull-through sites. Campsites in this section are much more shaded and will accommodate larger RVs. There are two restrooms but no water hydrants in this section. Campsites 215, 216, 217, 219, 221, 222, and 225 are for tents only. Reservations are accepted.

HIKING: There are numerous hiking trails in the State Forest .
BOATING: North Michigan Reservoir is available for wakeless boating.
WILDLIFE VIEWING: There is an abundance of wildlife for your viewing pleasure.
Take Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Laporte. Continue on Highway 287 to Highway 14. Travel west on 14 for about 75 miles over CameronPass to the ColoradoStateForest turnoff. The campground is about 2.2 miles from the highway.
