Round Mountain Campground
     

      The Round Mountain Campground is located about five miles northwest of the town of Lake George on Highway 24 at an elevation of 8,500 feet. There are 17 campsites arranged around a large loop in a stand of lodgepole pines. Campsites will accommodate small to medium sized RVs as well as tents. Facilities include two vault toilets and a water hydrant. Roads through the campground are dirt. Shade from the trees is reasonably good. Noise from Highway 24 can be noticeable at times. Reservations are accepted at this campground. Open May through October.

FISHING: Fishing is available in Tarryall Creek, Tarryall Reservoir, South Platt River , Eleven Mile Reservoir, and Spinney Mountain Reservoir.

HIKING: Hiking is available on Forest Service roads to the north.

BIKING: Biking is available on Forest Service roads to the north.

BOATING: Boating is available on Eleven Mile Reservoir.
