The Monument Lake Campground is located about 5.5 miles north of the town of Stonewall east of Highway 12. It is situated at the south end of Monument Lake at an elevation of 8,600 feet. The park has motel rooms, cabins, a restaurant and lounge, and store in addition to the campground. There are campsites to accommodate both RVs and tents. There are 45 campsites, 19 have RV hookups. The campground is open from mid May to mid September. Walk-in tent camping is available at various points around the lake. A bathhouse and coin-operated laundry is available for guests.

FISHING: Fishing is available in Monument and North lakes.
Take Highway 12 west from Trinidad for 36.5 miles to Monument Lake Park . The entrance is on the east side of the highway.
