Jefferson Creek Campground
     

      The Jefferson Creek Campground is located about 6 miles northwest of the town of Jefferson on County Road 37 at an elevation of 10,100 feet. This campground has 17 campsites, two are pull-throughs and the rest are back-ins. A few of the back-ins are long enough for small RVs but the rest are more suitable for tent camping. The campground is situated in a stand of lodgepole pine trees offering adequate shade. Jefferson Creek runs below the campground. Facilities include two vault toilets, two water hydrants and trash collection. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire grate. The road through the campground is gravel. Reservations are accepted. An entrance fee for the Jefferson Lake Recreation Area is required. Open late May through early September.

Take Highway 285 to the town of Jefferson . Turn west on County Road 35 and go about two miles to County Road 37. Turn right and travel about 4.5 miles to the campground.
