Aspen Glen Campground
     

     Aspen Glen Campground is located about 48.5 miles west of Highway 287 on the right side of Highway 14 at an elevation of 8,660 feet. The campground is situated in an open meadow along Joe Wright Creek. There are eight sites in the campground. All of the sites are suitable for RV camping. Sites 3, 4 and 8 are in the open while sites 5, 6, and 7 are wooded with spruce and lodgepole pine. The south end of the campground is populated with aspen trees. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring or grate. The maximum vehicle length that can be accommodated is 30 feet.
     The roads through the campground are gravel. There is one water hydrant and one restroom. The restroom will accommodate disabled persons. Reservations are not accepted for this campground. The season for this campground normally runs from mid May through September, depending on the weather. Check with the Forest Service for the current fees.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing for trout is available in nearby Chambers Lake, Lost Lake, Laramie Lake, Barnes Meadow Reservoir, Laramie River, Cache La Poudre River and Joe Wright Creek.

HIKING: Hiking is available on numerous trails in the Rawah Wilderness and on the Big South Trail.

BICYCLING: Mountain biking is permitted on the Laramie River Road and the Green Ridge Trail.

BOATING: Both motorized and non-motorized boating is available on Chambers Lake.

SIGHT SEEING: Take the Poudre Canyon highway for a great scenic drive.

Directions:
     Take Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Laporte. Continue on Highway 287 to Highway 14. Travel west on 14 for 48.5 miles to the campground. The campground is on the right side of the highway.
